The quick release cam is what applies pressure to hold the rigger on the quick release plates. These will wear of the course of rigging and de-rigging but have been designed to be taken off the quick release post and turned around – doubling their lifespan. Under normal conditions, you should get about two years out of a cam before it needs to be replaced.
Two cams are needs per quick release base plate (four cams per rigger). This is the cam only and does not include the post, spacer, or screws.
