Swift Racing pontoons are the closest thing you can get to having a pair of training wheels for your racing shells, adaptive shells, and cadets. If you row in cold water during the spring or fall or teach learn to row groups, you NEED a set of pontoons!
Our floats are sold in pairs and include your choice of fixing arm based on the boat you are attaching them to: standard fixing arms for stern wing boats, diagonal fixing arms for narrow span stern wing boats such as adaptive shells, or tall fixing arms for reverse wing riggers. One pair of floats is all that’s needed for singles, doubles, fours, and quads. There are holes in the fixing arm that allow you to control whether the pontoons are on the water for maximum stability, raised slightly to give athletes a better feel for the boat, or all the way up to help them build confidence before removing them completely!
A pair of rigger attachment brackets are required for each boat and are not included.
